
MCS Safety Department is taking a comprehensive approach to school safety and ensuring all students and staff are safe in our schools and on school grounds. At MCS we know that school safety is essential for providing a learning environment where children feel safe. We are excited to announce our Raptor Alert system at all schools. Raptor Alert Software ties together the critical aspects of safety throughout schools from prevention to recovery. Be on the lookout for more information about Raptor and the safety protocols at MCS!


Upcoming dates: MCS will dismiss early 12/20 at 10:30 and Christmas Break will be from 12/23-1/6 with classes to resume on 1/7.


McMinn PREP (MPP) students at Niota Elementary learned the history of the Christmas Card and then designed their very own card! MPP students will be sending their cards to a local nursing home for residents to enjoy!

McMinn P.R.E.P. (MPP) students at Niota Elementary participated in a Thanksgiving Parade showcasing their balloon floats. Parents were invited to watch the parade and students from the Beta Club helped with creating balloons and parade walk.











McMinn P.R.E.P. afterschool program at Mountain View Elementary held their Family Engagement Literacy Event this week. E.G. Fisher Library joined us and explained the importance of reading 20 minutes a day. Students and families enjoyed the exciting read-aloud and craft. Students were given books to have access to materials to read 20 minutes a day. Thank you E.G. Fisher Library and Jerry Hill for presenting to our students.
