McMinn County Schools will start the new school year on Friday, Aug. 2, with an early dismissal. Students will dismiss at 10:30 a.m., with buses running regular routes. Monday, Aug. 5, will be the first full day of school. We look forward to seeing everyone back from summer break.

If you or someone you know missed our first registration for PK & K, a 2nd chance registration will be held today from 4:00-8:00 PM at MCS Central Office 3 South Hill Street Athens, TN (near Food City). Please bring proof of birth, 2 proofs of residence, and a TN shot record. PK applicants will also need proof of income. The teachers will reach out at a later time to verify enrollment and schedule screening as needed. Spread the word! The future of McMinn begins here.

Central High School Fine Arts Department is hosting a Musical Theatre Camp this Summer! We will host a 2 week camp for rising 3rd through 9th graders who are interested in sharpening their singing, acting, dancing, and art skills! Camp will start at 9:00AM and end at 2:00PM for those two weeks! The cost of this camp is a steal! $100 Dollars per student. This cost covers, music, arts and crafts materials, pizza party on Fridays, and T-shirts!
