McMinn County Schools hosted our Professional Day of Learning today where we heard from many wonderful speakers. Featured as key note speaker was Mr. Jeremy Anderson. As a youngster, Mr. Anderson experienced many academic and social challenges. During his presentation he shared how educators who believed in him changed the course of his life. He reminded our educators of their “why”, the importance of mental health and self care, and the far reaching impact of building relationships with students. Quotes like "Your students will go as far as your belief in them" provided teachers in attendance with a positive outlook for the upcoming school year.
We would also like to extend a thank you to our other speakers Joe Guy, Sarah Kite, Justin Wallace and Kim Davison.
We look forward to a great year!
